Redrock Biometric's PalmID attained a perfect PAD score by passing Level 1 PAD conformance testing by iBeta. The PalmID solution will deliver the best user experience by using its quick and accurate anti-spoofing method.
FREMONT, CA: The PalmID Login solution of Redrock Biometric cleared the Level 1 Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) conformance evaluation by iBeta, thus achieving a perfect PAD Score.
Denver-based iBeta is accredited nationally by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for Biometric Testing by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). For biometric providers, iBeta is a primary destination in getting third party validation for their technology.
Redrock Biometrics has become the first organization to clear Level 1 PAD conformance testing by iBeta for biometrics-based on palm print. The PalmID relies on analysis powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) of palm images captured by the camera of high-resolution with an LED light or flash. The researchers of iBeta conducted around 720 presentation attacks for 14 days by using artifacts varying from simple prints to 3D casts. The result was 0 percent of overall Presentation Attack since none of those attacks were successful.
Redrock Biometrics was also featured as one of the Top 10 Financial Security Solution Providers 2018 by CFO Tech Outlook. The company offers PalmID, a palm-scanning authentication software platform, which can operate on any device with a camera, from cell phone to AR or VR devices to ATMs. Besides, it offers protection of better quality for banking, corporate security, home security, and many more.
PalmID converts the image of the palm to a unique signature that cannot be pirated. Its technology is 400X more accurate than fingerprint authentication and 20,000X more accurate than facial recognition.
"Although palm-based authentication is not yet popular in the market, it has tremendous potential to improve authentication systems across industries," says Yang, the co-founder of Redrock Biometrics. He further says, "Being the only company to have developed a palm-based authentication system, we are in the driver's seat to revolutionize the biometric industry in the upcoming days."
Biometrics has reached the next level as its software by using existing cameras, provide low cost, high accuracy, and rapid deployment. With the support of PalmID Solution, Redrock Biometrics' anti-spoofing technique is quick, accurate, and passive, thus providing a much-enhanced user experience.
