About the NJCPA Ovation Awards
Ovation Awards were announced on October 4 and distributed in seven categories. One is the Impact category, which recognizes those who dedicate meaningful time and energy to commendable endeavors. Examples include giving back to the community, sharing professional expertise to support others, or advancing the interests and needs of the accounting profession. Award recipients display this through their active engagement, leadership, or advocacy.
Another is the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category honoring diversity, equity, and inclusion champions. These champions work passionately to make the accounting and finance profession open, welcoming, and fair. This is done through encouraging and promoting initiatives and change, regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, age, gender, disability status, or other dimensions of diversity.
Finally, the Woman to Watch category applauds the growth and success of female NJCPA members. Measuring the growth and success by their leadership, potential, contributions, and/or commitment to fostering the success of their colleagues.
With over 13,000 members, the NJCPA represents the interests of the accounting profession. It also aims to advance the financial well-being of the people of New Jersey. Therefore, the NJCPA plays a leadership role in supporting the profession. It provides members with educational resources, access to shared knowledge, and a continuing effort to create and expand professional opportunities.
